Events and Activities This Week

Hello,

Hope you've had a lovely weekend!

Just a note to let you know what's coming up next week at St Lawrence. We are about to enter Week 3 on the hot dinner menu. Please indicate your child's meal arrangements for tomorrow by midnight tonight if you haven't already.

Tuesday 8th April

  • Year 5 are visiting Chedworth Roman Villa today. Please send your child in normal school uniform with sun cream already applied and a sun hat, given the sunny forecast for this week. They'll also need a packed lunch, and any Y5 hot dinner orders already placed on School Money will be removed for today. If you are yet to give consent for your Y5 child to attend this trip, please do so before the end of this weekend. Thank you so much!

Wednesday 9th April

  • A group of Year 5 children are taking part in a basketball tournament at Moreton Morrell College this morning. They'll need their PE kit, a water bottle and a packed lunch to eat upon arriving back at school.
  • Today is the first performance of the Y3/4 play, Dragon Days, at 2pm in the school hall.
  • The rescheduled Y2 parents' evening will be held after school today from 3.30pm until 6pm. Appointment times are the same as they were originally unless you have contacted the office to let us know you're not available. If you've forgotten your appointment time, please just let us know and we'll be happy to confirm it for you.

Thursday 10th April

  • Today is the Maths World Cup! Please consult Google Classroom for details of which times tables your child is to focus upon.
  • As our violin teacher, Caroline James, was unable to be in school last week, she will teach her pupils today at the normal time instead. Violinists will need their violins!
  • Today is the second performance of the Y3/4 play, Dragon Days, at 6pm in the school hall. Unless your Y3/4 child is in Owls today, please bring them back to school at 5.30pm so they can get changed and ready.

Friday 11th April

  • Our final assembly of the term will be held at 2.15pm in the school hall. Families are welcome to join us. There will be no celebration assembly in the morning.
  • There is no tag rugby club after school today.
  • Term ends today and we wish everyone a very happy Easter and a lovely holiday! We return to school on Tuesday 29th April - the 28th is a staff training day.

General reminders and information

  • As the forecast is for warm, sunny weather for the foreseeable future, we'd like to remind all families about sun cream, sun hats and water bottles. Please send your child to school with sun cream already applied.

Thank you, as ever, for your support! Hope you have a good week.
